Should I act more maturely?

My oldest sister who has given our family lots of grief mostly because there are 5 more of us than just her. (She was spectacular enough that her parents really didn't need to have this herd that followed her! ihnsho) Well she's going to turn 70 July first and I can't help but want to flood her with birthday cards that have those big 7-0s on them.

Okay now I did send in every offer for retirement info in her name when she turned AARP age too. If I didn't flood her with birthday cards couldn't she feel unloved? One bratty thing I see that she's doing is giving away my aunt's paintings to my family members who still grovel in her presence. This action imo is sooo uncool since they are my uncle's and not hers really and so she is practically stealing them from my two cousins. So I kinda think she deserves some kind of birthday desserts. Maybe I'm being too 14 year oldish but really! She's the only eldest sister I have. Opinions anybody? BB

Here's what you need to do: Go to every retirement facility's website from her area and ask for informational brochures to be sent to her. You can probably go from there and think of all kinds of related stuff, like free samples from websites (Depends, etc.).

My poor sister....when she turns 60, LOL! It'll be fun. Her favorite card from me was one with a verse that began: "Roses are red, varicose veins are blue. No matter how old you get, I'll still be younger than you!"

Hi Bb

Well now I say go for it girl. Act more maturely for heavens sake I hope not. Sounds like your sister needs those lovely cards you plan to send her and she would definately feel unloved it you didn't. Have a great time doing it and be sure and tell us what she has to say about them.

Love ya

I say..GO FOR IT!!

and YOU think it is immature..somehow evil...but if she is so narcissistic...she will feel LOVED by so many 70 cards!!!

and so it becomes even more devious...you think you are being mean, she thinks you you are being wonderful

it's a win-win situation!! LOL

as for the aunt's paintings...do the cousins know?

have fun

Oh yes she deserves a huge birthday surprise. How about putting one of those signs..."_______ is turning 70 today!" on her front lawn so everyone in the free world knows how old she is. Make sure you attach some bright red helium balloons to it so it really attracts attention. You can also sing her the BD song I made up for a friend. Its sung to the Yellow Rose of TX and goes;

Happy Birthday dearest ______,

Boy you sure are getting old.

You eyesight's lost, your teeth are false, you hair has turned to mold.

Even when you don your crutch and cane you sure can get around.

You can pick up your new wheelchair at the old age home in town.

Now you know I'm only kidding and you really are a treat.

Happy Birthday dearest sister, remember Depends can't be beat:)

lol I think this display of affection lets me know how my cybersisters really do either get me or are just toooo much like me. Oh, Bernie I wish! My sis actually lives in an "undisclosed location" lol I think she hangs out with Cheney. And when I sang HB to my dd and it was the wrong number my dd roared and the poor little recipient actually saved my serenade probaly to fend off evil spirits. Hugs, B
