havent posted in a while except to other posts. nothing really going on too exciting in my life outside of my grandkids and my garden and of course meeting the gals in brookfield in may and thank god you gals came in may. waukesha county was hit hard by the storms, total flooding there and people have a boil water order!
its so nice to see everything green and growing again, after that long snowy winter, but sadly too,it has been replaced by some really bad storms here! rich and i have been pretty lucky, as is brother bob, next door to us. with all the rain we have been getting, our basements have little water in them. my son last nite, had to pull out all the carpeting in his basement,as it was totally watersoaked.even our neighbors had to pump out their basements.as i drove around today, there are many homes with lots of damaged property strewn into their front yards, many roads that i drove on saturday, are now only passable with a boat. on saturday there were over 3000 lightening strikes in milwaukee alone,20,000 in all of the southeast section of wisconsin. as i was looking out the back window,i could hear the weatherman,on the tv,warning milwaukee residents to get into the basement and do not look out the windows..well,hell, who listens to weathermen.@@ i couldnt believe the formation of the clouds..a large lacy mass of black blew over us and it was being fed by small twirling clouds beneath it..thankfully were so close to the lake that it drew it in! but not so lucky were the east side residents rite across the bridge from us. they did have lots of damage to homes there as trees were totally uprooted and thrown onto houses and into the streets! we also heard on the news today that up at the wisconsin dells, which is a great resort town,2 hours away from us,that our family and many families from all over went and enjoyed lake delton, mirror lake and the wisconsin river, well lake delton is no more..it overflowed into the wisconsin river, taking with it,many expensive homes.the damn untouched. our governor is demanding the water be put back..LOL..hold on gov,i ll see if i can contact moses!!@@ its only june and im afraid to see what july and august have to offer us! other then that you will find me in my garden, talking to the chipmunks squirrels and oh yes,i have a baby morning dove that has taken up residence in my backyard.if im not talking to myself,im talking with the animals! thank god the neighbors know me,or they would think me crazy..
ok well maybe a little crazy...LOL....hugs mindy

Good morning Mindy,
I have been seeing the reports from the storms in your area and wondering about you.
I saw that poor gorgeous house fall into the roaring tide on television. I couldn't believe it when they said that was in Wisconsin! Glad to know that you and yours are fairly high and dry. I finally decided after seeing all of that rain not to attend my 40th high school reunion come early August. I hadn't been fond of the idea of doing anything in August Hoosierland filled with skeeters and rain but maybe also fresh corn and garden tomatoes.
I still remember when my dad was driving
Wow Mindy
Hi Mindy
Those storms in your area have been just terrible that is for sure. Seems the midwest is getting way more rain than needed and those horrible storms. I sure hope things settle down into a more normal pattern there soon.
Well talking to the animals is not such a bad thing after all they don't argue with you and hey as you said the neighbors don't think you are too crazy LOL.
Good to see you posting again. Miss seeing you here.
Love
