He awoke from nap and was very clingy and his head felt hot. I felt the rest of his body and he was cool so I thought it might have been too much sun. With the high temps we've been having a normal assumption but still alerted his mother. By the time she got him home his fever spiked to 102 and he broke out in a rash. The dr. said it was Scarlet Fever and strep throat!

It seems he was with his father over the weekend who had a very bad sore throat but failed to see the dr. until yesterday...strep throat, but didn't start the anti-B's until today! Not only did I have to call all the daycare parents the contractor stopped by and was holding Jay as was Mac and JT yesterday.

Tomorrow I must call the state office and disinfect the place. Since this is my first dealing with an illness besides flu I have no idea what to expect.

On a little lighter note Noah asked where I got the bruises on my arm. GG...the kid's afraid of everything. Friday I was holding him when my neighbor brought in her dog which she does daily to see the kids. The dog will not pass the house without a visit. I was holding GG and the dog just got near my leg and he got so hyseterical he pinched my upper arm so badly leaving a very noticable bruise.

Yesterday we were at our new pool and the kid freaked out again...he's afraid of water, bruising my wrist. I told Noah GG's afraid of everything. Being 2 he looked at me and asked...GG's afraid of pickles?:) I looked at him and said yep.

Dutch sent some pics of the nesting turtles in her yard which I showed the kids. Once again Noah came out with a zinger and said look, the turtle's pooping. Got to love 2 year olds:)

Janet has returned home but has not shown her face here:) Looks like my enrollment is about to go up so I will need to look for help. She will not be asked to return.

The storms are beginning to roll in hopefully signaling an end to this oppressive heat wave. I HATE SUMMER!!!  My sunburned body can't take anymore and this is with sunblock 45! Come on Autumn!!! Happy week all.

HI Bernie

Sorry the little guy is so sick. Hope he gets to feeling better soon. I hope the inspection for the daycare will go well. I sure it will.

Poor little GG sounds like he is afraid of everything. Hope it is something he can outgrow soon.

Good luck getting someone to work at the darcare. I am glad Janet returned home but not to the daycare.

Love ya
