I see that Mindy posted about some of our weather woes. Yes, it's true, only in Wisconsin could we get five days of rain and still have a lake completely disappear. I read in the paper yesterday that there was a what they called a geological weak point. The stone that forms the famed dells of the Wisconsin River - rings most of Lake Delton, it is absent at the spot where the shore gave way. Instead, the soil there is "100% sand" from the lake to the river a couple of hundred yards to the northeast. The heavy rains of the weekend turned the sand into a soggy mass that finally gave way about 10 a.m. Monday.
We've had two days of almost no precipitation, so things are drying out a bit. Most of the roads around my area that were closed because of being covered by water are open again now. The county highway department has been out 24/7 working on the roads. And now, the storm that spawned the horrible tornado in Iowa that hit the boyscout camp is on the way here. I don't know what another inch or two of rain will do. We have dams and bridges that are about to give way. Looks like it's going to be a couple of bad days again. I hope the storm system passes quickly over us.

HI Kaci
Seems WI is one of those states that is just getting way more rain than needed. Such a shame about the Dells.
The tornado that hit in Iowa was just awful. I sure hope the storms headed your way are calmer and don't put down so much water this time. The midwest is soaked and just doesn't need any more water any where right now.
Be safe!!
Love ya
I was watching on tv the rains that way, OMG that is so bad.
The storms are here now.
Hi Kaci
You sure don't need the rain that is for sure. I hope it will stop soon.
The loss of those boy scouts was just terrible. I hope those that were injured will heal quickly. You are so right loss of life is just the worse.
Rain, Rain go away, they need no more for quite a few days
Love ya
Oh wow, so not over with for a while then.
Here's an update.
