Tired of the noise!

Wouldn't you know it....I have a day at home today and the neighbors have decided to build a pool! I'm actually not happy about it on two accounts......constant heavy equipment noise for now and teenage parties for the future! Guess I am getting old, but we have lived up on this hill for 28 years with woods surrounding. Then two years ago, someone cleared the trees on the two lots next to us and built two houses.....now a pool behind the house that is closest. BTW, we have a wonderful private neighborhood pool just a few blocks away. Oh well!
Update on Mom.....Medicare has ceased payments for her rehab, so we are on private pay status until the doctor allows her to be weight bearing. That is about 2-3 weeks of pretty major expense. My mom is not rich, but can do this for a bit. The great news is that we thought she was going to have to move to a different facility, but this one has decided she can stay. This is so much better as she is familiar with staff, surroundings, schedule etc. Much better for me too!! I was not looking forward to a move somewhere, then back again.
It is a beautiful summer day in East TN. Yesterday was a bit cloudy, gloomy, though we needed the rain!!
I hope all is well with you and yours!!

Hi Sooze
I don't blame you about the noise from your neighbors building a pool. Oh well guess it is something you will have to learn to live with.
I am glad your Mom can stay where she is instead of having to move. Hope she will be able to do some weight baring soon so medicare will start to pay those
Our neighbor is building a deck around his above ground pool Sooze. Been kind of noisy here too. But we have a nice row of very tall redwoods and cedars between us and them so at least that acts as a buffer.
So happy you won't be going thru the stress of moving your dm. Better for both of you! Is she improving at a good pace? I hope so.
Our 100+ degree weather has broken for now. Only 81* right now with 47% humidity so not bad. Still smoky but we were able to open the windows last night for the first time all week. We have several fires within 50 miles of us but most are further away. It's just that with the hot weather and no breeze the smoke has just been accumulating everywhere, valley and mountains. Bad stuff for California, that's for sure. Cooler weather overnight has helped the firefighters, too. Those brave people have been out there for over 2 weeks and as always they have come from all over the country. That is dedication. They are getting some help from the National Guard now.
Hugs!

Well, the very large hole appears to be done....so maybe that was the worst of the noise.
Yes, best for both of us that she stays put.
Oh that is the pits!

I would be so cold at 72 with low humitity!I like the 80s the best.I do like it when it's muggy.Makes it harder to breathe.an it makes me tired.
I cant take alot of noise an people. It sounds and feels all confusing to my brain.
Oh no Sooze... I hope that they dont hve these late night pool parties, that sucks, especially when you are so used to your privacy!
