New answers for my pain...

Sun, 08-10-2008 - 9:22pm
As most of you know...I have been having terrible abdominal pains past 3 weeks...  had X-rays and external and internal Ultrasound the other day.   The pain got no better after my cleansing.... was really hoping that was all it was, but no.  My pain has gotten so bad over the weekend I could barely walk, but I finally got some answers when the doctor called me while I was on our trip ....  I need surgery for a tennis sized fibroid tumor on my uterus....fun!  At least I know what is causing this pain.  I will be asking for a complete hysterectomy!! Will know more tomorrow....

Ah, Gabby...I'm sorry you're going through this. Have they given you anything for pain? Hate to think of you enduring that!

Let us know when your surgery is! The sooner the better, sounds like!

gab i had a large fibroid in my uterus too, mine didnt bother me as yours did. and into menopause it finally shrunk and dissapeared.im sure the doctor knows the best plan of action, but i have seen that they can remove fibriods without doing a partial or total hysterectomies. their quick to do that on women,so check it out thouroughly and make sure you take the best plan of action for your own healthsake...hugs mindy

I want a hysterectomy! I have had too many tumors and cysts over the years and it's time for it all to go.

well, at least you have an answer!

I wouldn't get a hysterectomy unless the dr recommended it

but if you do..try to get a "laprascopic hysterectomy"

that's what I had, much easier to recover from! so much less invasive

good luck
