No kids for 10 days...yeah! I love them but need the break. Dd and I plan on getting away for a few days.
Allie's mom was released from the hospital late last week so her dad called and asked if I could take Allie for the weekend so he could tend to Melissa...sure! The surgery went well but shes's in pain and having equlibrium problems. The best news is her hearing's improved (which the surgeon didn't think would happen) and the trembling in her hands has stopped. I sent her a planter from the daycare kids. For those who don't know she was operated on for Chiari Malformation.
Last Saturday was my dgd's 3rd BD party so I took Allie. My oldest dgd Eve asked if we could go to the park...sure. Eve asked right in front of her sister who immediately wanted to come too. Since it was her party she should have stayed but how could I turn her down? We had a blast! Imagine three kids sliding down a plastic slide then chasing me around trying to shock me! Had I worn sneakers I could have outrun them. I hate static elec.! Eve said her mom was mean for never taking them to the park and Gabby chimed in with...yeah, mommy mean.
My ds said he left his wife a list of things to do for the party. He's a chef and works 80 hrs. weekly plus does the laundry and what housework he can get to, gardening and caring for the kids. He called her Friday to ask how much she accomplished...nothing. He told her her arse and the couch really can seperate. I almost died laughing!
Had my physical and am good for another 10,000 miles:) BPH was 112/80. Not bad for an overweight old lady:)
Tomorrow is my baby JT's 23 BD. Can that be possible?!
Have a great week and remember to keep smiling:)

Bernie, have a great vacation!!

Ah Bernie you need the vacation time... even though you seem to love your kids you deserve a bit of time away.
