Surgery is scheduled...
27
Tue, 08-26-2008 - 6:41pm
I am scheduled for a hysterectomy on September 17.  Earlier was not possible due to Labor Day and many needed personnel are out of town the next couple of weeks, like the assistant surgeon, etc.   It will be the abdominal hysterectomy, so the 4th cut for me in the same place (bikini cut).  My Gynecologist says probably a lot of my pain is coming from my scar tissue from previous surgeries, so she will remove all of that.  She also thinks there is scar tissue adhered to my bowels, that part is a little scary, but I trust her not to perforate my bowels.  Of course my tumors (there are 2 of them, not one) will be bopsied but hopefully they will find no cancer. I am Looking forward to getting this all behind me... By Thanksgiving I will feel like a new person!!

Thanks Red. Some days are really almost pain free so I don't need anything at all.

Thanks Mare. I really like having a female GYN, I feel like she truly understands.

The scar tissue has caused me pain over the years on and off but stopped when I had menopause and is just now causing problems again.

Gabby, I'm glad that you will have it all taken

You'll feel like a new person for the holidays!

gabby

good luck with it all

sounds like a good medical plan

I like your "looking ahead attitude"..to when it will be history

too bad it cannot be laprascopic

but I am sure this is the correct plan

may it all go well

hugs

Yes, that would have been nice, but I have too much scar tissue and she wants to get it all so I will not have any future problems.
