We have adopted our grand-kitty...

Our son's sweet tabby is now living with us and our 2 tabbys, Socks and Tiger. The first day we left her in the utility room and she seemed fine, slept in the cubby we gave her. We put a towel from our son in the cubby so hopefully it smelled a bit familiar to her. She is used to us anyway so she acclimated very quickly. Yesterday I let her have the run of the house. Our 2 tabbys are not pleased at all, they are hissing and growling if she comes too close (not so much anymore), but for the most part they stay clear of each other. Her name is Martini and she is a very loving cat, only 2 1/2 years. She has her own litter box in the utility room and her own food and water and her cubby is in there also. She seems to know that is hers and the other 2 haven't gone in the utility at all, only to the door to look. I think this will work out just fine, will just take some time for adjustment. Last night both my cats slept in the bedroom as always and Martini slept in her cubby in the utility, although she could have slept any place she wished. I think since I left her in there the first night, she feels safe in there and she thinks of it as her place, which is good. Earler today Martini fell asleep under the computer desk while I was on the computer, the other 2 just lied down at the den door, keeping an eye on her I guess....LOL. For the most part I think they are all a little scared so they hiss, all 3 of them, but 3 girl tabbys, heck soon they will be one big happy family. Of course plenty of petting and hugging going around for all 3 of them.

Thanks, I will let you know how things go on Thursday. It's either remove the tumor or we are afraid it could be hard on her to have the surgery.
So we might be faced with having her put to sleep.
