Last night my lil sis called us from the hospital, her dh  was having chest pains and so they went to the hospital to see what was up.

He  had some tests done and had a irregular heart beat when there, and his BP was way up there.  They sent him by ambulance to another hospital a couple hours away, and he is now  there getting more tests and stuff.  They are looking to take him to yet another hospital in VIctoria for an angiogram and other stuff.  They said he had a silent heart attack some days before hand and that he needs all the rest he can get to allow the heart to try to heal.

We dont know much more than that right now, other than they do not want him to have visitors... not even my sister for more than a couple minutes due to the fact that anything that gets his heart beat  pumping could be  damaging to him.

Dbil is the same age as I am, and so this kinda hits home that we are not too young really for this to happen to us, so time to take better care!

ANyhow please if you have space please  keep him in your thoughts for me.

Thanks and will update when I know more!

Hugs,

Thanks Gabby!

With him being in the hosital he is getting that rest... they are making darn sure of it!

He is feeling quite well right now and thinks he is now wasting their time being in there, but we think that is him going into denial.

I am sure the doctor will let him know it is not for nothing.

Lor, my best wishes to them both. I hope this turns out to be a wake-up call that brings about some positive changes that mean a longer, healthier life for him.

When I was interning in the lab, one of our lab supervisors (who was my age) died suddenly. That was really a wake-up call...can happen any time and it is good to be reminded that we not only
