Choosing new frames

Good Saturday morning! Its quiet here today. Everyone must have a grey, cloudy morning like we are having in East TN this morning!
I am trying to get some loads of laundry done and then I am off to find some new frames for my glasses. I wear contacts 90% of the time, but of course need glasses as backup. The last two prescription changes I have kept the same frame and just changed out the lens, but its time for new frames. I HATE choosing them. I guess since I don't wear glasses all the time, I don't think anything looks good....but....I have to choose something. I've been trying to pay attention to what others around me are wearing to see if there is something that is currently "in style".
Looks like mother may be discharged the middle of this week. We have made arrangements with an agency to have someone with her about 4 hours per day. I am hopeful that will be sufficient. She is on the waiting list to move to the "assisted" part of the retirement center where she lives. This summer has taken a toll on me.
A bit of a sad note to our week. Dil ( mother of our one dgd) had a miscarriage. I know that sometimes nature knows best, but it still was heartbreaking for them and us. She was about 8 weeks along.....still had not told anyone outside family that she was even pregnant. Nothing is wrong with her, so we are hopeful that she will be pregnant again soon. I had a miscarriage between ds #1 and ds#2 so I know the emotions she is feeling.
Well, have a good Saturday. I'm off to look at glasses frames!

Hi Sooze
Nope not cloudy here at all. Sunny today as usual in AZ and suppose to be a HOT one today.
Hello Sooze, so sorry about ddil....micarriages are so hard....Hugs to her!
Hugs to you too....Just moved my folks closer to me....and now they are soooo dependent...I have created a monster....but I see some hope....they are meeting people in their building...they have walked 'downtown'....amazing!
Sooze, so sorry about her losing the baby. Our oldest son's
wife also recently lost hers; about 9 weeks also. But our
daughter Liana is doing okay; due in January.
Frames...I hate picking them out and I am not crazy about
the latest styles LOL.
Hugs,

Mare,
Well, I chose frames....quite a bit of a departure in style for me, so I hope that I really do like them when I get the finished product!
Hi RJ,
Having elderly parents close is a mixed blessing indeed!
Cindy,
Thanks....even though we can tell ourselves that it was probably for the best....it is still a tough time for them.
I chose frames.
