9/11 a day to remember

It has been seven years!! Hard to believe it has been that long ago since that horrible day!! Sending our prayers to all the families that lost loved ones and remembering the day when our world changed forever!!

I remember my Dd was getting married a month and a half later and being so worried about having to fly back there in about two weeks after it happenned.. Scared to get on that plane as I had to go back by myself because Dh had to work and would join me three weeks later.

The best thing that happenned was when Dgs 1 was born in Nov of that year.

Wow Gabby I don't blame you at all. Trucks can be replace but our children well they are one of a kind and that is something I never want to even think of loosing.

Gabby I can imagine how panicstricken you were! Thankfully ds was fine. Trucks are objects and can be replaced but you can never replace your heart.

Exactly! I remember he was a little surprised that I didn't say anything about the truck, but he soon realized it didn't matter to me, only he mattered. The 2 kids in the Suburban were fine also, that thing was barely touched, like a tank compared to the little Sonoma truck.

I watched a lot of the coverage on 9/11. There wasn't really anything I hadn't seen or heard before, but seeing it all unfold from beginning to end was really wrenching. Such a sad and senseless thing to happen.

HI Bernie

Seeing it first had would have made it all the more real I am sure. I am glad you can go back every year and see the progress being made.

Hi Kat

I agree gut wrenching for sure but I feel we need to see it again to keep in mind why our world has changed so much.

Mare, where once was a decimated hole, and after much debate as to what should be rebuilt, the foundation is poured and it looks like any other new construction site. Watching the 911 services I could tell this will probably be the last at the main site as construction is well under way. Future rememberances will have to be done on the sidewalks around the site. As horrified as I was a week later
