Oh no been thinking again LOL

That is a dangerous thing sometimes for me to do LOL. In chat today we were talking about being sick with one thing or the other for women in our age group. Those illness and problems that arise and we go to the Dr and hear that statement. "You are not a kid anymore" or " You are getting older you know" How I hate when a Dr says that to me. The fact is we are not getting any younger and things like UTI's happen much more often to some of us. Things go wrong, like what happenned to me with my gall bladder suddenly causing so many problems.

I always thought that when I got "older" there would be less stress in my life and yeah my body would have a few more problems. Aging is normal right?  Well I forgot about having to deal with aging parents, grown children who still need our help, and menopause, and grandchildren. Seems it just never ends does it?

I have found though that I handle things differently now than I did when I was younger especially when it come to health issues.  I am more likely to go see a Dr now when there seems to be a problem. However sometimes when I think something might be wrong with my health that I feel might be more serious it does scare me more now. I still go to the Dr right away though. Having no health history as far as family background is concerned I figure better have it check out right away instead of waiting. I have caught a lot of what could have been serious health issues by going to the Dr right away. Now not talking about sudden serious illness here, but something that just seems to be not quite right. No severe pain.

However seems to me a lot of women in our age group will put off going to the Dr if they feel it might be something serious because not knowing might be better than finding out? Sort of if you don't know, it cannot hurt you.  What do you think? True or False?

Hi Dutch

As we get older we realize the importance of taking better care of ourselves. Taking care of my own personal health was drilled into me at a very young age. However mostly I think those in their 30's still feel pretty much they are healthly and will probably stay that way no need to see a Dr.

Love ya

Woohoo!! I didn't get "the lecture" this time!!! She said it doesn't appear to be another clot. She did a few tests and asked some questions, and said my symptoms aren't consistent with a clot. She gave me a few exercises and stretches, as she said my muscles seem to be tight. She also did a small adjustment with my meds and I go back in 2 weeks for a retest.

Now, to psych myself up for my overdue pap! LOL

Hi Jan

That is very good news my friend. Glad she left the lecture out of the visit.
