Our house is officially up for sale!  Now I was thinking I would be elated by this, but instead I am having a lot of mixed feelings.  We have lived here for nearly 20 years and all of a sudden I am  thinking how much I am going to miss this place.  I so will miss my dear friends and my sister and her family... think that is the hardest part  about moving.

Anyhow the 4 sale sign is posted and I am going to have to  get a grip on things here.  I have to focus on the positives  like I will be nearer the kids and my dad, the weather is not as harsh etc.

We have decided if the house sells fairly quickly  Which I so doubt because houses are so not selling here, then we will for a bit live in a trailer until we get work  down island. Not going to quit here til we find something there.

We are not  planning to wait to sell this house before we buy down there, we  have our eye on a home that we quite like.  We will buy and probably live in it on weekends and holidays etc and  do some fixing up on it as we are down there.

Anyhow  a lot of good and  some bad feelings here... mostly is hard to  know I am leaving my friends and Sis.  That is a tough one.

Hugs,

Hi Lor, I guess I didn't realize you were thinking of selling. How far away will you move, mile-wise? Too far for a day visit? Will your new home have room for visitors?

Tell a bit about where you hope to move to and the house you like. Is it another camp or a larger town?

Does your library have a branch there?

Boy I'm nosey, aren't I?

HI Lor

Nothing like seeing that for sale sign in your yard to make you realize you really are planning on moving. When you are talking about it, thinking how nice it would be to get a new home, going to see houses finding one that you like. It is still somehow not real. That sign says it all. You have live there a long time and as you said have family and dear friends near by. That sign moves you out of your comfort zone.

I have moved so often and have never lived but two places for a long time. Most of those moves were made without a backwards thought. The move from my parents home to live near where Jim was working before we were married was pretty easy. I was young and wanted to be out on my own and close the the man I was sure would someday become my husband. Years later after over 25 years of marriage to that man we had lived in only one place for along time. When we moved from IN to AZ it was exciting but so very hard to leave the city where I had many friends and where both of my children were still living. We had lived there for 12 years. I loved our home and was surprise though to find I had put down roots there. Many tears were shed but I had to move on, dh had a new job way across the country and so we would move ready or not.

Your time has come my friend to move on. It will be sad and happy both. Right now you are feeling pull of do I really want

After so many years in one house, it is hard to get used
to a change. But you will do well once you settle down island
and look how much closer you will be to the kids.

All the best on selling the house.

The building I live in is also up for sale. The landlord turn a turn for the worse. So they decided they should sell it now.Landlord is 74.His wife is a young woman. He probably doesnt want her to be strapped with the building.

We've had a few looky-loos.One lady wants to buy it.But she plans on raising the rent. The landlord thought that was not fare to us.An is trying to not let this woman buy the building. We shall see.

Always good to have a job before moving. Before I moved
