Life and other things that keep us busy.

Hello my friends!  Busy week and I'm still healing so today I made a point of being able to stay home in PJs, I needed it.   I think we found my mom a new apartment much closer to us and much cheaper.  The senior place she lives now provides an evening meal, this new place does not...but, hey, I'm a good cook.  I will make sure she gets her meals and she always makes her own breakfast.  My mom has never been domestic.  Since the age of 18 I have always cooked Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.  My mom was a very hard worker, but when it came to the household....forget it...LOL.  Not sure she knew which end of the vacuum to put on the carpet....LOL!  Ok, not that bad, but not good either.  Anyway, let's say if it doesn't go into the microwave, it doesn't get cooked.   This apartment is set up for handicapped so it has the shower with the seat and not the tub  (she can't step into those anymore).  I told her I can help her with her baths twice a week.  Right now it's sponge baths only and it takes her a long time, so she is thankful for this new situation.  I think she will be happy at this new place, although moving again is not something any of us are looking forward to.  We just finished helping ds move and finally have his house ready to rent out. We met with the property manager this week and there is a long list of little things we had to do at the house, all of which dh is finishing up today.   All of this is causing me some sleepless nights so I am very tired.  I let things weigh on my shoulders too much.      As far as my surgery I am doing "ok".  My incision area still has some numbness from cutting through the nerves, it will take time for this to change, but it feels funny.  I'm still getting some pains every now and then too and they can be bad at times.  I can tell this will take some time.

Hugs, Gabby, You sound Really good.....I do know about sleepless nights brought on by aging parents....before my folks moved closer to me....I had lots of them wondering how the move would go, if they would have enough space for their stuff, etc etc....still have a few but it is better....Take care, my friend and think of you often!

Hugs, Ruth

I try not to dust.I only do the TV screen.hee-hee-hee

I'm allergic to dust.So once in awhile Heather comes over and dusts.

I'm more of the surface cleaners.Mom is the same way.

Again I cant do something.I dont have the physical strength in my arms/hands to do Deep down cleaning. Heather and Dar did it for me.
