Keep or give up?

There was a question in the local newspaper, last weekend that made me think. With the economy the way it is, what could you give up and what could you not give up, to save some money? One said she'd move to a smaller apartment, but couldn't give up her continuing education. Another could give up her spur of the moment travels, but couldn't give up her pedicures. Still another could give up her Starbucks, but won't give up her wine.
I would have a lot of trouble giving up my Friday dinner out. It's not expensive, just a meal at the local family restaurant, but I don't have to cook it or clean up after. I could easily give up a couple of magazine subscriptions. There's so much info available online, that I really don't need more papers cluttering up the place. I generate enough clutter by myself! LOL
What could you not give up and what would you have no trouble doing away with, if needed, to make ends meet?

I just remembered after reading Mary's and your posts...I hung my laundry outside all summer and through September. Only dried the towels in the dryer at the point they were damp.
Now that we're in the colder season, I still dry most of the laundry on an indoor drying rack I've had for a couple years. I put it in front of the gas stove . I like knowing I'm not using electricity that I don't need to.
The drying rack comes down if company is coming of course! LOL!
HI Jan
I have to agree about a casino. The times I have played I only loose my money very quickly so I just don't go. Like you might as well drive by throw my money out the window.
Love ya
Thanks, glad you liked the idea
I figure one area to save $$$ on is gift wrap, gets tossed anyway
with the table cloth, it might even be used later, if not, it was only $1
I also wrap with old maps and sunday comic
forget if I said that
