Hi Everyone,  Did you ever do something stupid but still just wanted people to commiserate? I dropped an expensive electronic device. I take full responsibility but was still ticked off when the smug customer service rep said they could do nothing for me and then wouldn't let me talk to a manager and claimed they have no phone mail or email for me to leave a message! So I posted on their website (Ok probably PMS!) and everyone basically said too bad for being careless. Like nobody before me has ever broken something under warranty and tried to get it replaced.! I guess I'm just throwing a little pity party for myself - seating for one! Thanks for listening!

Hi and welcome to our board.

Well it sure makes a girl feel stupid huh? Of course you are not the only one who has ever done this and good for you for being honest with them and telling them it was you fault for dropping it.

I'm with Lor on this one...really great customer service there. With the business retailers are lacking these days, you'd think they'd be bending over backwards to keep their customers!

This kind of reminds me of a story I read in the paper this a.m. about a 3rd grader who had gone through the lunch line at school only to be told by the lunch lady that her account was depleted, and took her lunch away, threw it in the garbage and said, "Maybe this will help your parents remember to pay for your lunch!"

Wow, I would have canned her on the spot. Of course, now that this has been in the paper, I'm sure

Hello, and welcome. Yep, I'm with the others, customer service is an oxymoron, anymore. Even if it was your fault for dropping the item, it's still no excuse to be rude. One thought, though, if you have homeowner's insurance, that might cover at least part of the cost to replace the broken one.

I hope you'll stop back in and let us get to know you.
