I had a few minutes, so thought I better check in here! My life feels like it stays in "fast forward" mode. My mom is in a rehab facility getting physical therapy and is on a waiting list for both "skilled" care and for "assisted" living.....depending on how far her rehab goes. The bad part is that she is now about 20 miles away from me, the other side of Knoxville, through a very busy area, making for a lot of time on the road. It also takes away my ability to do a quick visit at lunch or whenever. It has become a trip. We hope to get her moved back into the facility here, but as I said...waiting lists!! I just could not keep up with laundry so the facility is doing it. Mother is not happy with that, but something had to give.
I have packed up her apartment and on Thursday professional movers will move all the furniture to a rented storage space. I have brought many boxes of stuff here to my house and one bedroom is looking more like a storage room! I have discarded and sold some things, but until I know exactly what her living space will be, I can't make all those decisions.
Of course with my work, we are well into the busiest time of the year.....the best time in many ways, but also the most demanding.
It has been a beautiful fall here....chillier this year, but I like the crisp temps and was ready to go to my Fall and winter clothes.
Well, just wanted to say hello! Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

Hi Sooze
Well I am glad your Mom is in rehab now and hope she will not have to remain so far away for a long time. The drive time for you I am sure is very hard. Sometimes what should be a short drive takes much longer because of the traffic in the area.
However maybe it does give you a reason to not be able to visit as often and have to give some of the work load over to other.
Take good care of yourself and pop in again when you can.
Happy Halloween
Love
