Hope everyone is enjoying this day. By now some of you are probably seeing trick or treaters at your doors. Love seeing the little ones all dressed up in their costumes.

HI Lor

I am sorry the bad weather seems to have kept those trick or treaters at home. We had just about the same number as last year. We had a man come to the door holding his 4 month old daughter. We laughed when he said hey its her first Halloween and I just couldn't resist taking her out. The weather here was just about perfect with temps in the middle 80's last night.

We have a bit of candy left over will have to get rid of it or I sure will be getting into it soon.

Love ya

HI Sooze

There are lots of partys here with churches for Halloween. We got about the same number this year as last. I love seeing the little ones all dressed up. So cute.

I really miss all the little trick or treaters coming to the door, but since we moved to WA we don't live in the city anymore and no kids come to our house, not even the neighbors....

Hi Dutch

Well being on the very end of a street I can see where the trick or treaters would not come all the way to the end.

Glad you had the Halloween Parade to enjoy with your dgc.

Love ya

Well, we live in a busy neighborhood, on a corner, and our porch light and house lights were on and we only had 15 T-OR-Ters! We were terribly disappointed. AND I had 3 bags of candy!

Frank was so disappointed b/c he gets such a kick out of seeing the little ones. Of the 15 we got, they were all probably 12 and older!

I asked one of them where all the kids were, and he said, well the school was having a thing.

This takes all the fun out of it for the residents! I get so tired of all the scary messages. There are so many of us who still love children, would never hurt anyone and feel gypped! Good grief, I'm sure there were some creeps in my neighborhood when I was a kid, too. But somehow I survived. And anyway, kids these days either T-or-T in packs or with their parents.

Guess this is my vent for the day. Sheesh, Frank and I really looked forward to living in this neighborhood b/c we wanted to be a part of a community. Now we just feel like we must be the "scary strangers."

HI Red

I agree I hate it when we don't get a lot of the little ones. We didn't have as big of a crowd this year as a couple of years ago but we did get a lot more this year than last. Fine for the schools to have parties for the kid and things but we loose our sense of community when we are all afraid that our neighbors might be going to do something. People need to enjoy their neighbors more.

Love and HUGS

I think the reason a lot less was not just the weather but there has been a big drop in youngsters in our area... and the older kids many of them stayed in the
