Yes I got my dentures finally. On Thursday.I had to have a bone shard removed ( with novacane shots)before the dentures were put in my mouth.

I cant wear the bottoms yet.Just about the entire ridge of the lower jaw has a bone shard.Dentist siad it is jaw bone.Alls I know is they hurt to touch. They are all red swollen.Just waiting to pop threw the skin.I actually pulled one shard out with tweezers.I'm hoping  I can do the same with the lower jaw ones.I really dont like those shots.

I looked in the mirror alot on Thrusday.I saw MY FACE!Not the ole hag.And I instanly felt happy.

When I smile it is nice. The teeth look nice.Straight teeth not white whitw and the same size as the origanals.BUT it's not MY Smile. So I'm very self concious.Holly got laughing last night. She said it looks like I want to smile. But not quite sure.

The uppers fit awesome. And I dont have to use any of that goop. The bottoms I will have no choice.

All an all.I'm going to adjust to my mouth feeling like I am wearing  mouth guards .It's going to work out for me.

HI Doreen

It will work for you and your are beginning to see the change with the uppers you can now wear. It will feel for a while like you have a mouth full but you will adjust and they will feel normal to you. I hope your lower jaw heals soon and you can begin to wear the lowers as well.

I am so happy for you. This is going to be good.

sorry to hear about the shards, but they will soon be gone and you will be all good to go!

It does take a while for your mouth to adjust to the new teeth, but boy what a difference it will make... soon you wont be able to quit smiling... just hope it does not take too long to lose that feeling of wearing a mouth guard.
