My girlfriend asked if I wanted to take a card making workshop with her, I said maybe, then she kept asking so I said sure... then I started to think do I want to do it... not really, so I said can I opt out. She was hoping I wouldnt and when her dd decided not to do it then it left just her, so I said ok will go.
I was not too sure of even what to do, and as it seemed we were the only 2 there who were newbies at doing this. Many of the ladies came in wheeling suitcases full of supplies... ya they are hooked big time to it. I can not afford to get hooked but I can see how easy it is to get that way.
I made about 7 cards and came away with many nice ideas and a goodie bag with paper and stuff as well as a door prize of stuff I am not even sure of what to do with.
Dh said ok Lor you can take that up as well but you know the past 2 weekends you blew over a hundred each week in craft stuff, so maybe be careful on what I spend. So I am thinking I will not buy much of that stuff... but the other stuff I bought was for crafts I am doing for a Christmas craft fair that I am going to. I got a good deal at 70% off the craft supplies so I bought wayyyy more than I needed but it is there for next year and many years after. Where I would have only bought say 5 feet of ribbon I bought a whole roll or 5... so the craft cupboard that I spend a full day cleaning out and making room in is now more than full and there is a big box that I have to find a new spot to put it.
For the craft fair so far I have about a dozen elves and about a dozen mice angels and probably close to 20 glass head angels. i need variety so will be working at getting new crafts going this week. I do have to take time though to get my girls PJ's made for Christmas... i bought material so I could make them all PJs, started out I was going to make Akiva some then thought would be nice to do all the girls some.. to that is on my big to do list! It will be hard to work on them when Britt is home though as it is one of the presents they are getting from us.
I get way over my head in stuff then get so overwhelmed... I need to write a list out and follow it in order so I don't get stressed... but oops that is too late already there....LOL
Anyhow that is my weekend in a nutshell for you. And yes I am nuts for starting this all.. what was I thinking.... or make that not thinking!!!!
Hugs,

Thanks Gabby... I do love to create with my hands, but getting the inspiration is the hard part.
Hi Lor
I am so glad you went to the workshop with your friend. Sounds like a fun day and actually something that you would enjoy doing.
As for the rest of the stuff well you are a very creative woman and getting things made for a craft fair if you had entire year to do would probably not be so stressful. I remember you saying in chat that you had just cleaned out that craft cubboard. Well seems you have filled it back up and hey I bet you will use everything you have in there in time.
As for making your girls pj's for Christmas well now that might have been a bit of an over load. I bet you will get it all done but you sure have added a lot of stress to getting it all done on time.
Good luck my friend but I am betting on you.
Love
LOL Not sure if it is wise to bet on me... I could disappoint for sure!
This afternoon I got 4 winter friends (clay pot people) assembled, I am just waiting to go to town and get some fuzzy siocks to cut up for their scarfs & hats.
Tonight I am going to make some Christmas balls, use ribbon and small flowers on them with matching ribbon.
I have alwasy donated my stuff before but this year my gf wants me to do the craft fair and that is for money for my pocket.
