keep coming up with weird things going wrong.  I have fully recovered from the rash and what I now feel was probably a virus of some kind. Now seems my left hand has decided to go numb. Wondering if this is like a carpal tunnel thing. This is driving me nuts because it is also painful. I have an appt to see the Dr tomorrow morning. I am left handed so this makes things difficult when I go to do anything. My right hand doesn't work well since I injured my right arm back in my early teen years. Fell through glass then and did a lot of nerve damage that restricts the use of my right hand somewhat. So now that the left hand is having problems it is really making me crazy. Thought maybe I had slept wrong on my left arm and it would go away in a day or so but it hasn't so time to see the Dr.  So tomorrow hopefully I will at least find an answer to this one. Then I hope that will be enough!!

The Dr says this could be caused by a side effect from the virus I had. He gave me RX for antibotic and cortisone meds for five days. If that takes care of the problem then I will not have to go for a MRI of my cervical spine. Had surgery on my neck in 1992 for pinched nerve and ruptured disk I don't want to go through that again so keeping my fingers crossed that the meds will do the job.

HI Lor

He did take a blood sample and should have some results later today. However the meds have made a big improvement after just one dose yesterday. So no matter what the cause so for this is working. He thinks mostly the problem is from the swelling caused by arthritis in my neck.

HI Dutch

Been there done that before with a ruptured disk in my neck and having surgery because of numbness. So hoping this time it will not require surgery and that is not the problem this time. That was the most terrible surgery I ever went though and really don't want to do it again.

Meds are working it seems feeling much improved today.

Hi Sooze

Well today it is much better after just one dose of the medicine. So I am hoping this will take care of the problem. Guess I will know after I have taken the meds for five days.

This business of aging is surely not for sissies! These last couple of years I've had my "good" knee become my "bad" knee. (Childhood injury too.) Hope it is just too much typing and that they can give you some stretches or something easy to relieve it. Didn't know you were a lefty too. You know we're the only ones in our right minds. ;) Maybe they'll send you to a physical therapist to torture. Worked for me more or less. At least the guy who was torturing me was cute.

HI BB

WEll I was sure hoping it was from typing too much but I really don't do that much of it and doesn't seem to be the problem. The meds are working so hoping this will take care of the problem. Yep a leftie and I have been telling people for years that we lefties are the only ones in our right minds LOL

Maybe if the meds don't make it go away completely there might be a need for thearpy will just have to wait and see.
