Well I have a life again...or so I think

Yesterday was the craft show I went to, was a long day I have to say!

I was up at 5 am showered and ready to go by 7:30.  I noticed my tummy was starting to act up on the ride to town.. was rolling pretty good so that kinda had me worried.

Anyhow we set up our table and got nice and comfy for the day... actually  it was more like a few came in and then it was quiet then a couple more........... and this is how it was the whole day.  We did not have a good turn out to say the least...  and in turn we did not sell much at all.  I made a few sales as did my gf but we sure did not do well at all.  We asked others how they made out and they all said the same thing.  There was one table that did very well and that was the partylite candle table.

I was a bit disappointed but we had fun, and if it were just out table that did lousy then I would have been bothered more, but seeing as pretty much all were doing the same as us it just said bad time to do it.  Actually I think more than being a bad time it was more like a very bad location and lack of advertising... there was a notice in thepaper and one little sign outside  that was it!

Anyhow now I have a bundle of crafts waiting to do something with, so on Thursday my gf is going to set up a table at our local Christmas bazaar/ bingo and try to sell there what we didn't sell.  Then this weekend there is one in another neighboring town, she is thinking of going to that as well.  I think we have plans for going down island this weekend coming so I wont be able to help there.  I have to work on Thursday so wont be able to help her sell our stuff, but my dd is thinking she will go and help her out.

Now as for my tummy  yesterday that little bit of rolling and turning  ended out being a whole lot more than a little tummy upset, my goodness I was in bend over in pain shape by the time we packed up and left.  When I got home I dropped my stuff, went into the bathroom had a warm shower threw on some pj's and grabbed a blanket and laid on the couch and tried to watch a movie with dh and dd.

I took a teaspoon of Acidophilus and I think it helped a bit, because the severe pains subsided and other than waking about 4 times last night I was ok.  This morning I still feel the rolling some but not like yesterday.  I think it is feeling a lot like what ever I had a month or so ago... felt like I was going to have diarrhea or something, but  it wasn't that.  I was wondering if it was the milk I drank in the morning as I am somewhat  lactose intolerant but I doubt it was that because like I said I am still feeling it some in the tummy, and I only had a bit in my cereal...... surely not enough to cause such turmoil.

Dh and dd went to town yesterday while I was away... they went for a daughter / dad day.  Al wanted to get Britts thoughts on different makes of cars as we are thinking of getting her a car soon.  We bought both the other girls a car and would like to do the same for her... it wont be a new car maybe about a 2004 or so.  She  loved the VW beetles, and that is what she is wishing she could get... we are thinking  that or a Kia.  She has no idea we are looking now for her though,  she  figures if we were to get one it would be when she is moving away.

Anyhow the 2 went to a movie, went to dinner and window shopped for cars... DD drove both to town and home, and is getting a hang of driving a standard.

I am thinking of lounging the day away today, I have a book I started and want to finish up (Nicolas Sparks book called "The lucky one"), I also want to start my Christmas puddings as they should be made ahead of time... and I forgot them... actually I just don't feel it is nearly Christmas time... not into the season yet here.

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead!

hugs,

Hi Lor

Sorry the craft sale didn't go too well. Probably the lack of advertising and maybe as you said in an out of the way location. Hopefully your gf can sell the things at the other craft fairs.

Sorry to hear about your tummy being upset. Sure hope you get to feeling better soon. Could be the flu or something else so hoping just resting and taking it easy for a couple of days will help with the problem.

Not much in the Christmas mood here yet either but that is normal for me. I never seem to get in the mood until mid December.

I bet Britt will sure be surprised when you do buy her the car. So nice that she and her Dad could spend the day together.

Love

I think for the amount of people that showed up I did pretty well ... not fantastic but not too bad either.

I am now wondering if it is not a virus going around, several others I have talked to said the same thing.

Oh well now it feels a lot better...Whew!

Have looked and have not found the right car for Britt yet... might end out waiting now until the spring for it, but knowing Al he will just keep looking and when the right one comes along grab it!

No0t really a loss at the fair because the left overs I still have and can sell at a later date if I dont end out giving them away before hand.
