thanksgiving day is here again

a day to count your blessings,

that in itself,would be great..

if there wasn't so much stressing!!

clean the house and do the shopping

bake those pies and whip the creme,

are you sure i gut this turkey?

that to me is quite extreme!!

peel potatoes,mash with butter

 margarine for those who care,

to live beyond the xmas season

butters better for those who dare!

get those sweet potatoes cooking

boil the gizzard cook that heart,

don't forget those sprouts of brussels

even though they make ya fart!

now the stuffing!cut those croutons

add the vegies and the broth,

wash the china and the glasses

 don't forget the tablecloth!

extend the table..find some chairs

did someone go and buy the wine????

for pitys sake... WAKE up gramma!!

food is done it's almost time!

to find a seat and place your napkin

say a prayer and start to pass,

all the food that i've been cooking

did someone eat the turkeys ass?????????

now comes the clean up,lord please help me

all that's left for me to say,

to family and to friends that matter

is have a "happy turkey day"!!!!!

happy and stress free day to all...mindy

hi gab! sounds like you had two busy days. thats nice you are able to spend time with mom and friends and still enjoy the family on tg. so who got to eat the turkeys ass. LOL..you know i find that funny, cause that was my mothers favorite part.she would make sure that she got it extra crispy, basting it more then the turkey itself.to this day i dont know how she ate that part, its total fat and there were thanksgiving that her poor gallbladder couldnt tolerate it,but that didnt stop her,as each year, without hesitation, that was the first part she ate.min
