Some of you may not know this whole story, but some have followed it for 6 yrs.
My DD was married to a A-#1 scumbag for a year or so, long enough for him to father my wonderful DGS, Hunter. You may recall that Hunter is my "special" guy who lives with autism.
She was single for 4 or so years before she met a wonderful guy at her workplace, a very professional, stable and responsible guy. They dated for a year and got married in Vegas last April Fool's Day.
Today, Jeff (my SIL) formally adopted Hunter. It's all legal and he is all his Dad. Sperm donor had initiated this as he was "tired of paying child support for nothin."
We are all so happy, esp. DD. Hunter in all likelihood doesn't know the difference; all he knows is that Jeff loves him and he loves him back. Jeff is such a special guy to take Hunter on as his own.

Thank you all. Yes, it is the perfect gift for the family!Friday night Frank & I took a cheesecake over to their house to celebrate. The 3 of them were having so much fun playing together. They really look so very happy. It does my heart so much good because DD struggled for so long and now to see her so happy is just the best!
We had taken Hunter a piece of chocolate cake cuz we figured he wouldn't like cheesecake. That night about 4 a.m. DD said he got up and threw up all over the hallway carpeting. Too much richness, I guess. Anyway, it was so funny...he cried out, "Oh no! Whatever shall I do now?!? I need to go to the carwash!!!"
