I have never been good at keeping resolutons, so I no longer make them.

I do however  tell myself I am going to make better efforts to take good care of myself.

How about you any resolutions you are thinking of making for the New Year?

years ago I decided to make one resolution each year, and that is "Don't make New Year's resolutions" LOL

if there is something I want to do or change, it will happen anytime of the year

I don't need the stress! LOL

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The start of a new year gives us the opportunity to look at things as they are and think of how they could be......but then each new day gives us that chance as well!

Like the others, I don't really make resolutions. This year, though, I am setting some goals. Somehow goals seem not quite as rigid and strict as resolutions, and since goals are a long range thing, a bit easier to stick to. If I goof up and slide on a goal, it just doesn't seem as bad as breaking a resolution.

Anyway, with reaching "an age", and dh having some health issues, I decided it's time to take my health seriously. I will get the medical tests I need, and in fact have been working on that. I also want to try getting more exercise. I finally got dh to get the treadmiss unburied, so I can hop on that, even if just for a few minutes. I need to watch my portion sizes, too, and put more veggies on my plate. As I said, though, those are goals to be worked toward, not resolutions, so I don't have to worry about "breaking" them.

OH!!! There is my perennial goal - to get organized!!!! Been making that resolution for 40 years, now! Someday, I'll do it. Maybe I need to have the dc's over again. ROTFL

Gabby if you can get someone to walk with you it helps keep you true to it.

I agree not worth making all that stress just to say you made one!
