I must admit that I am not the least bit unhappy about seeing the end of 2008! What a year it has been...especially dealing with my mother's health. The holidays have been tough, but we had a good day yesterday as the cast was finally removed from her ankle. Now physical therapy can move forward. I just don't know what she will be able to do in a few more weeks. This being the FOURTH episode of falling and breaking!! We are hoping that she can move back to assisted living......."skilled" care is a huge financial undertaking.....not to speak of just plain depressing!
So.....surely 2009 has to be better???
I'm taking Christmas decor down today and tomorrow. I didn't do as much this year so it will be a simpler job. Plan to spend a quiet New Year's Eve at home....grill out a couple of steaks....or maybe dh will do the grilling as it is supposed to be 20 degrees tonight. Thats COLD for us!!
Have a save and happy celebration and start the New Year with optimism for the new possibilities and opportunities!
Hugs, Sooze

Sooze, sure hope 2009 is better for both you and your mother.

It may be difficult to get apart from your mom and you are concern to her health, however sending her to an asisted living will get her to ease the difficulty that is present especially if you are in the late period of life.
