Well, let's see: still snowy and cold here in the NE, had our last snow, rain, ice event on Wed, more snow expected on Tues!

Today has a high of 34F so that is like a heat wave (last weekend it was -17F !!) earlier this week I tried out my new snowshoes!! LOL

Early in the week I went to our local farm market and bought a dozen yellow roses for $9.99...a great bargain to cheer the house up! a bit of real color, after so much WHITE!! LOL

On Thurs we went to dgd's,4, school to see an educational animal show: real live animals from australia including a kangaroo that hopped around the auditorium and tried burst through the glass doors at the back! LOL

turtles, snakes, birds, "sugar gliders" too ..very nice ..

yesterday we went to see "Slumdog millionaire"..good movie but very intense..lots of graphic scenes...be prepared

then out to dinner at TGIFridays (on gift card from ds and dil)

today: Super Bowl and snacks! clam dip and buffalo chicken dip

dd is coming over earlier to watch "our" shows we recorded: Monk and Psych..cute, funny

have a good day!

hugs

Hi Dutch

Glad to hear it is a bit warmer your way but saw on the weather this morning another cold front is headed your way with snow and much colder temps again. At least it is Feb and spring is just a few more months away. I love yellow roses and buy then when I can

I was driving past a flower shop the other day and saw $9.99 and wondered if they had any other than red because a little flower color would feel good about now. We're having a heat wave of 60s for a few days and I'm really enjoying it and finishing up my yard clean up that I got mostly done before our snow.

I really would love to be able to participate more in my grands lives. I have my Valentines and a box with fun stuff to mail to them but that isn't the same as having a little tush sit on your lap while you read or play with them.

Thanks for the tip about the movie. It is one I want to see. Stay warm! I'm really looking forward to going to warm sun, sand and fishies at the end of the month.

Hugs, BB
