Improtant news from iVillage about Chat
Find a Conversation
| Fri, 02-06-2009 - 2:48pm |
I wanted to reach out to let you know that as of Friday February 13, 2009 we will no longer be offering our current chat room service. I realize that this news may come as a sad shock to those of you who have been loyal chat users and especially for those of you who have led community chats with your boards. I know I have had a lot of fun in our chat rooms and treasure the friends I've made there and the conversations I've had. Our team will be looking into the possibility of offering this service again in the future. Please let me or your CM know if you have any questions or concerns about this change.
Sincerely,
Caryn D. Stein
Director of Community, iVillage.com
There is an email address you can write to, that is posted in the chat room when you enter. It is ivcommunity@mail.ivillage.com there are many of us on this board who use our chat room and we are not at all happy about this. I would ask any of you who can to send an email to let them know how unhappy we are about this change.
Thanks

I am with Sooze

and for you it is even a greater loss

Chat is just another way of being able to keep in touch with all those ladies we have come to know across the country. Those of us that are there daily will miss it the most. Guess we will just have to go some where else to chat.
I have been sitting here thinking this has been like 10 years I have been coming to chat... and to have that all end... it is like a death
HI Lor
Yep I feel that loss too. I am really not happy about this at all. My feeling about iVillage have changed because of it. Always a big fan of this site but now not so much.
Love ya
Mare, it truly amazes me that in this period of tough economic times, when companies are trying to

Hi Jan
I agree it is I am sure a money problem for iVillage. I agree with you that in these tough economic times you would think iVillage would do it best to try to keep the people that come here. If they loose members they they loose advertising money because there will be less people to see those ads.
I have been letting my feelings known as well. Thank Jan.
Love ya
HI MC
Thanks for sending a letter. We are going to use Yahoo for now. See how that goes so if you have yahoo you can always join us there.
