House is finished....... well almost!!

The contractor send someone out yesterday to replace a board in our hardwood flooring that had gotten a deep scratch in it caused by all the workers that have been in here getting our house put back together. It looks great, I am really happy with the job they did. After getting the carpets cleaned though I notice it was pulling away from the doorway of our bedroom. They came out to restreach it and thought that would do the job. I was running the sweeper the next day and when I got to the doorway it pulled up again. Called the flooring guy and he came out to look the backing on the carpet has separated from the top so now they will have to replace the carpet in our bedroom. Got the approval from the insurance company by yesterday afternoon. So we pick out new carpet and hopefully soon they will be able to get it installed. Then we should be done!!

DS still have not found a job. He did go to a job fair on Wednesday and has two job interviews set up for next Tuesday. So keep your fingers crossed for him please.

Dh is getting a knee  brace for his very bad left knee. He saw a surgeon on Monday. It needs to be replaced probably but they want to try everything they can first. Dr wanted Dh to have a cortisone shot in the right knee because it is hurting from walking wrong to protect the left knee. Dh refuses to have the shot so is taking some anti inflamatory meds to help the pain. So we will see how this goes. Surgery is definately something dh will have to have done eventually but he is hoping this will delay that for a while.

Hugs to all

Hi Lor

The house really looks great. They brought out carpet samples yesterday and we picked out one we like and hopfully by the end of this week they will have it done.

Ds has had a couple of interviews yesterday another one tomorrow. So at least he is getting that. He said at one interview yesterday morning there were at least 50 people there all for the same job. So we just keep hoping he will be the one to soon get a job.

Hi Lor

I did go with a darker color. The carpet in the bedroom now is a creme. Since no matter how hard you try here in AZ you get a sandy colored dirt in your house. Taking off you shoes doesn't seem to help here at all. I went with a bit longer nap that I had before and more of a light tan. Hoping to match the sandy colored dirt LOL. They will install it tomorrow. Cannot wait to see what it looks like.

As for Ds well so far no good news for DS. There are lots of people out there looking for jobs so employers have lots of interviews to go through and lots of people to choose from. So still waiting for news on a couple of interviews.
