Spring has definately sprung here in the southwest. My allergies are proof enough for me. Itchy eyes, sneezing and that constant need to blow my nose. Allergy meds are helping but with just about everything in bloom here there is pollen everywhere. We have not had rain now for a month and a half and we sure could use it might help to was away some of the pollen. However nothing but sunshine for us here and I really cannot complain. The weather here has been just lovely. Warmer temps will be heading our way soon though and the heat of summer bearing down.
Ds is still working at the temp job he got two weeks ago. They told him on Friday he will be needed at least until mid April, maybe it will become a permanent position. We did buy new bedroom furniture and it is just perfect. So the house is done thank heavens.
Our dgs Evan will be coming out to visit us for a week the end of March. Will be so nice to see him again. Dh and I will soon be making plans to go back and see our Dd and her family by the end of April. I have not seen her since I was there last Oct and dh has not seen her since last August when Grayson was born.
Today is laundry day for me and bathroom cleaning today. Both never ending jobs. Better get off here and get started.
Have a good Sunday all and if you haven't posted in a while stop in and let us know what is going on in your part of the world.

Hi Lor
Sorry you have snow but as you said you will be so happy when your warmer weater arrives. Spring is driving me crazy with all the pollen. Spring does come earlier for us here in the desert southwest. When it is spring for you we will be HOT. LOL
Enjoy your time with your family. Akiva I bet she is so proud of herself for making that cake. I envy the time you get to spend with her and your Dd's.

HI Dutch
We have a mockingbird that is singing every morning and afternoon here lately. We don't get a lot of the song birds down here in the desert. I know you will be so happy when spring does finally arrive for you.
Happy St Patrick's Day my friend enjoy your trip to the Irish resturant. I would love to see Ireland some day. Now I just have to convince Dh he wants to see it too LOL.

Hi there, Mare....have been MIA for a while here. DH & I went to Florida for 10 days, and oh man, was it ever a nice getaway! In the 80s every day, which I know is no biggie for you, but for us, divine!
We visited with DH's brother and 2 DDs and went to the beach and to two Spring Training games. I came away with a nice light-to-medium tan which is under these layers of Washington winter clothes someplace.
It was so nice to be at the beach and out of this cr@ppy weather. It was really weird; when we boarded the plane to come back home, I started feeling really down. As we taxied down the runway I started feeling really choked up and the tears started coming. As we took off and became aloft, I was sobbing in Franks' shoulder. It was beyond my control, and I was really surprised at myself. I simply could not stop. And I had little small and quieter episodes all the way to our layover.
Of course the day we came back the rain was coming down sideways here.
Anyway... do you find that you cry more easily now? Maybe I should start another thread about this.
when we got home, I took a walk around the house
I swear I see bulbs poking up!!
good luck convincing dh on Ireland..Bob liked it too
it is beautiful

HI Red
So glad you are back and had a great time on your vacation.
I remember one time when Dh and I were driving across the country and we usually take our little dog with us when we do. This last time we did Dh convinced me to leave her at home. From the time we left the house and for that entire day I cried my eyes out. I just missed having her with us in the car for that long trip. I will never take another long car ride with out her. I do get upset sometimes as well when we leave after visiting our Dd in OH. Sometimes hard to leave the good times behind.
I do cry more easliy now. Always did at a sad movie or if a friend has been having a really hard time but any more I can cry when it seems to me there is no reason at all.
HUGS to you. Sometimes just hard to leave the good times behind us. We have been in those 80s this week and
