As usual I have sorely lacking posting skills here.  I do need some help though. Anyone here have any experience in parathyroid problems?  I'm in hormone hell right now.  I finally went to an endocrinologist (after the last 3-5 years of telling my PCP something is not right).  My thyroid is coming back normal but she suspects hypothyroid so more tests there.  My serum calcium came back high so that could indicate parathyroid-so more tests there.

The really funny/sad thing is (and I know all of you here will relate) most of my symptoms are also associated with menpause-fatigue,insomina,muscle aches, joint aches,osteopenia/osteoporosis, heart palpitations, elevated blood pressur-the list goes on and on.   I've felt so bad that I gave up one of my cycling classes last fall thinking I was overtrained and have greatly curtailed my outdoor riding because of really poor performance-and those of you that know me know that's really bad.

Aside from feeling like you know what-life is pretty good-dh got a new job and works from home.  Ds is doing pretty well at college in NM.  DD is living in sin(LOL) with her bf and working as a dog groomer.  I was shocked at how much money she makes doing that-who knew that getting a dog groomed could cost more than I pay for a haircut?

I hope this finds all my friends well

Hi Becky!!

So good to see you here. You are not the only one with sorely lacking posting skills on this board lately. Seems to be a real epidemic lately.

Sorry don't know much about thyroid problems but I do know the sypmtoms you discribed are often confused with menopause. I hope your sepcialist gets you straightened up asap. For you to not be riding your bike as much you must be not feeling at all well. ((((BECKY)))).

Glad your dh has found a new job and your Ds and Dd are doing well. Dog groomers make a good bit of money.

Things here are good. Lost my gallbladder last May while on vacation and had a 10 day stay in the hospital in Memphis with prancreatitis to go along with the gallbladder problem. All is fine now thank heavens.

My Dd is doing great. She has two little boys now and is a busy working Mom. Ds is doing pretty well and still living here with us but would like to be able to move out. With todays economy right now probably not going to happen for a while.

Dh and I are enjoying our retirement and looking forward to a trip to see Dd and those adorable little boys in May. Ds son Evan will be coming out here for the summer around the first of June. So we will have a 7 year old in the house to keep us busy for about three months.

Hope to see you around more Becky.

Love ya

(((Becky)))hope you get things settled. Menopause is not for weaklings. Try searching out a homeopath in your area as they differ in their treatment. Homeopaths treat symptoms menaing the remedy they prescribe will treat only your symptoms. Allopathic doctors treat generically. Just a suggestion. Be well and your dd sounds like she turned onto a good occupation:)
