Which water is best

When I buy small bottles of water to drink some have left the natural ingredients in them and some don't. Which is better for you. We have sulphur water in our well and have a filter but still only use it for cooking so I buy bottled water to drink. There are so many different kinds of water now. I want a good one that will taste like old fashion water and quench my thirst. Any suggestions?

Hi Cindy

We stopped buying bottled water. It is so easy to use in the summer though. We also have a filter on our drinking water. I don't have any preference over bottle waters though. Try to find one that is just plain water if you can. We now take water with us this time of year when ever outside our in the car. We use our own water bottles though and just fill them up here at home.

Hope you find a water you like. Well water can sometimes be pretty bad for drinking.

I agree would love to come and visit. When I was growing up the water was so nice and cold with no chemicals. Bottled water is so flat and the plastic is not good for you either. House should be paid for in the next couple of years then maybe we will get out of here however that would mean moving away from my gc and thats something I don't want to do. But I am getting tired of these winters. too old for cold anymore Lol.

I suppose we could put in a better filtration system. That sulphur water smell just turns my stomach. It's not real bad but when I put that glass up next to my nose I can smell even though others say they can't.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look for just good plain water since there seems to be no such thing as good old fashion water anymore.

We used to get our water from a municipal well, but a few years ago, pipes were run from Chicago, and we now get lake water. It tastes a whole lot better, but in summer, I take gallon jugs to the store and get the filtered water. The lake water is treated, and in summer they seem to add a whole lot of chlorine. I hate turning on the faucet in the morning and smelling that bleach smell! Not only does it smell, but it makes things taste off. They don't need to use as much in the winter, so I usually only do the bottled water in hot weather.

I do pack bottles of water when we travel, because you never know what the water will be like in some places.
