Aloha!
William is a cancer survivor now. Yup they got all the cancer! Hip hip hooray! He is in a lot of pain and just looking at him hurts my soul. But he is alive and well and that is all that matters to me...
The other day William wanted to see his face through my eyes so I took this picture of him. I thought he was going to faint after looking at this picture of his face. He was blown away about how bad it looked from my point of view. Isn’t it amazing that looking at stuff from another‘s point of view you get a complete different perspective of a problem that you have been dealing with day in and day out. Now if I can just use this technique in other areas in my life …. Then maybe my life will be more pleasant to live?
Last Friday we got the word that the doctor had gotten all the cancer so we went out to eat. The waitress kept looking at William’s face and at the end of our dinner she asked us why we were in such a happy mood so I told her that we just found out William is a cancer survivor. She then leaves us and comes back with a huge hot fudge sundae dripping with nuts and whip cream and announced it was on the house… aaaahhh… Now wasn’t that nice?
Have you girls ever had strangers go out of their way to make you happy?
Well just thought I would fill you ladies in on what is going on with poor Sweet William…
Mahalo for being there when other people don’t know what to do with me dear cyber sisters!
Aloha,
Lei

You are right, it does hurt to look at it.....but.....it will heal!!!
Hi Lei
Well it is not pretty that scar on Williams face but it will heal and soon just be a good reminder that he beat cancer. That is the best part. Nice of the waitress to do that for you both. Occasionally I have had strangers do something nice for me and always try to remember to pass that kindess on to a stranger when the chance presents itself.

Lei, that's awesome news about William!! Woohoo!! I celebrate the good news, with you both! The incision looks nasty, now, but he can always tell people that he was fast enough that Zorro never got to finish his "Z". Or, he could wear an eye patch and carry a toy parrot on his shoulder. Lots of possibilities, there!
That sundae sounds great! How nice of the waitress to do that.

Aloha Sooze!
You know I did think twice before I inserted that picture of William's face but then I thought how are you girls going to feel our pain if you don't see what we are dealing with.
