Thanks to the response to my lurking creatures I now know I'm not going crazy. We've had birds that are yellow striped, and some that look just like cockateals have no idea what they are since in this area we don't have parrots flying around to cold. Our bird feeders are just filled with very colorful birds from orange, bright yellow, red, there,s one that looks like a small crow but it's the size of a robin with the head of a woodpecker.
Lei maybe you have the answer with the bird flu a couple years ago. Must have changed the genes in birds or something. Oh and Lei maybe that bee likes the smell of a certain shampoo, or soap your using. I used herbal essence that smelled like apples once. Bees were all over me.
Oh and as far as bugs I got a really good tip the other day. If you go to a hardware store and get a chunk of camphor break it up into little pieces and put them into your closets you won't have bugs come into your house. Found out my aunt did this her whole life and growing up in her house I never saw so much as a fly. She'd put the camphor inside little bags she'd make out of her nylons after they ran. Smells for about a day but not bad smelling. My aunt did this every spring in the northeast. It's also very cheap and much safer than using chemical sprays.
Well Sat. is here and it's bright and sunny. My Dh worked until 7:30 this morn and is in bed for the day so I guess I'll get my peas in the ground.
Everyone have a great weekend. A big hug for all of you, Cindy

Hi Cindy
No unusual birds here and I think you are right about the bees they love the smell of flowers and if you used a shampoo that smells like them or even a perfume they will buzz around you.
I have heard of using that to keep bugs out of the house. My Mom used to do that every spring as well.
Hope you enjoy your Saturday and get those peas planted.

Hi Mare I got my peas in the ground. I'm so excited my first garden vege.
HI Cindy
I am just not into gardening at all. Way to much work for me. I also have a black thumb and can kill just about any plant LOL.
Actually in the areas of AZ that are at a higher elevation it does get cold and snow so there are some migrating birds that head down our way in the winter time when it really begins to get cold in the mountains. In the late spring and summer they all head back to cooler areas of my state. The seasons are just reversed here in the desert part of our state. Spring flowers are gone and those hardy ones that love the desert heat are blooming now. We are going to be in the 100's by mid week here. Also gardening is finished up here in the desert areas by June you just cannot water enough.
HUGS
Nope your not crazy, that is unless the rest of us are as well!
