I was thinking about mothers day and this is what I'd like.

    The temp. outside about 80

All the children and grandchildren over for a bbq

The guys can cook while I enjoy the grandchildren and talk amongst the other females

After the meal the guys can clean up the mess and do the dishes while the rest of us enjoy the day

   Hey one can dream Lol

Well, since my mom's been dead for almost 34 years, and try as we might, we were never able to have children, it's just another day. Painful in many ways, but just another day.

Sounds like my kind of Mother's Day, Cindy! Never sure what's going on around here for M-Day, but they are having a Mother's Day tea at my DH's work (a retirement community, he's the Exec. Chef) with an Elvis impersonator and nice luncheon, etc. So I think I'll invite my Mom and my sister to come to that. Sounds kinda fun.

I also hope to see my grandsons. Probably will only see one DD/one grandson, tho.

Hugs,

I guess I'll just be happy to see Siobhan and John and spend some time with them

My parents walked out and I was raised by a loving aunt and uncle so I guess I was lucky.

Now that sounds like fun. I love Elvis and so doesn't Dh. Plus you don't have to cook or clean up the mess.

Make sure you take home a couple nice big doggie bags for later so you may not have to cook then either.

I'm glad that your growing up years turned out differently because of your aunt and uncle. It's really **something** that your mom just shows up...some times you have to wonder. It's nice of your kids to bring homemade meals...sounds like you were and are a good mom, too.

Cindy that actually sounds like the ideal Mothers Day!

I think though for me I would like to go to see my girls and then see my Dad and either have dinner at my dds house or all of us go out for dinner.

Happy Mothers Day what ever comes of it!

Hugs,
