Sorry didn't mean to upset anyone

Sorry about the question about mothers day. I didn't mean to upset those who have no children or mother has passed.

I know my aunt who raised me and passed away a year ago wouldn't want me to be sad. She'd say "Now cindy don't you fret over me I'm fine you go and do what you have to do to be happy"

My aunt couldn't have children and raised us and a cat. She also helped with other families by babysitting and all kinds of things. She would say " We are females and were put on this earth to help children and others when we can". We must give to all those who cross our paths for God put them there for a reason.

So Jan, Lei and others that I hope you realize that whether it was an animal or human you did something for you were acting like many mothers do and probably better because your not around them all the time and have more patience.

So I say Happy Mothers Day to you for all you have been there for. You've earned that honor just like us mothers have.

                                                     Hugs to you, Cindy

Hi Cindy

Don't worry you didn't offend anyone. Holidays can upset people for one reason or another sometimes. Lost my Mom three years ago come this coming Dec.

Cindy, I'm not offended. This is a difficult time of year, for me, with what seems like the whole world focusing on "MOM". Not much I can do about it, though, but suck it up and get on with things.

I've been told many times, even by some here, that nephews, nieces, cats, dogs, etc. don't count. If you "didn't give birth to them, and raise them 24/7 until they're adults", then you don't have the "right" to think of youself as a mom, no matter how much you've nurtured others.

Seems I'm having a "go eat worms" week. Have a wonderful weekend.

Jan

They are wrong Jan. My mother was nothing more than the egg that brought me into this world. There are alot of mothers out there that shouldn't be a mother. I'm sure you've seen all the abuse that goes on with children in the news and some with your own eyes.

You've nursed, fed, cleaned, washed, driven and done many other things moms do for someone. Cats, dogs, nephews yes they do count.

It takes a special caring
