A New Week Has Started

Hello everyone. Tis Monday and same old thing here. Cool weather but it is sunny so I'm thankful for that.

Woke up this morning and the power was off in my house. Had been off for 3 hours. No coffee could be made so I drank one of Dh's cokes. EEEEEEWW not a good morning drink. But I now have my coffee so all is well.

I'm trying to stay positive about the cold weather. I know it's going to warm up and in the meantime I'm thinking about painting my whole house outside this summer. Trying to think of a nice color. My Dh wants Puce for the house. Is a very nice color but very dark. He also likes orange which is totally out of the question.

So ladies whats a nice color? It's a faded green now. Oh I'll also get new shutters and paint them. Need an idea for them too.

Hi Cindy

Well hopefully it will soon warm up for you again. Spring can be so fickle. Houses here are mostly shades of tan ranging from dark to light. When we lived in the midwest our house was a medium blue. I not into bright colors for a house. I think any color you choose you will like.

Glad that power came back on. I agree cola is not a great morning drink. I prefer my coffee.

HUGS

Hi Lor, My house hasn't been painted since it was built in 1975 so it's bad. The trims been done but not the aluminum siding. Actually it's in good shape just faded. Was hoping to reside it with seamless siding this year but can't afford it so I'll paint. Just need to find a ladder to reach the peak.

I'm afraid I could not bring myself to drink soda anytime, but in the morning...oh, my, I'm so glad you got your coffee. As to painting the house, ours is an ivory white with very dark green trim. One of the homes of my childhood had these colors, complete with dark green shutters.

Welcome to our site and I don't mind at all if you just jump in. I have a 3 bedroom ranch style home.

My name is Cindy and I have 4 grown children and 9 grandchildren. I live in upstate NY and am so waiting for summer to get here. Had a very long winter this year. If it wasn't for Dh's job we'd sell and move someplace where it's warmer. Just can't take the cold anymore. One of the disadvantages of getting old Lol.

I'm not a coke drinker but with the woodstove going it gets dry in here and I needed something cold quick.

I guess I'll have to grab some tea this week since it's the stormy season here and we lose power alot. Small town with old fixtures Lol.

Ahh, with a ranch style house, I always prefer the earth tones.

That's a good idea going to look at the flyers. I don't want to go with anything to dark or light. Alot of farms and dust flying around here. I need something to hide the dirt. We hose our house down alot and I'm constantly washing my outside windows and screens.
