Wow, you and I surely have something in common. I have been a teacher for 35 years, the last 30 in the same high school. As of May 28, I will be officially retired, even though I am short a few months of 60 - lots of reasons, none of them that I would ever get tired of teaching. I have put in for some sub jobs and we'll see what happens next.

Wow..we do have a lot in common!
I retired in 2004 after teaching since 1971, I taught from '75 to 2004 at the same school. That is mainly where

So glad you had such a wonderful trip. Welcome back. A trip like that can wear a person out
Welcome home Dutch!
I taught in elementary from 1974-1979 and then the last thirty years at an inner-city girls' high school here in San Francisco.
WOW ..you have been busy! LOL
so it will be hard for you to come to a complete halt!
You will probably do what I do..keep your hand in by subbing, tutoring etc...giving classes if you can
I also did 2 leave replacements the first year I retired
I really like mornings when I don't have to get moving though! the less 5:45 a.m. wake ups the better now! LOL
I worked in a poor rural school, 750 kids k-12..high poverty level
there are those who are not interested in learning but there are those who are and I am sure you have your success stories too!
and,BTW, San Francisco is high on our list of upcoming trips...just warning you..LOL
