Got to Memphis this time and no.........

medical emergencies. LOL We went to Graceland. It was very intersting. The house is much smaller than I thought it would be. But fun to see those things from the 70"s again. The house has been left just the way it look when Elvis last lived there. The tour doesn't go upstairs. That was Elvis's private area of the house and no one was allow upstairs besides family. So to honor his wishes it remains private. There is just so much to see. The gravesite was there in the serenity garden. His is buried beside his parents. His mother was moved there after Elvis passed away and father put there when he passed as well as Elvis grandmother. It was fun to see the planes he traveled on and owned.

I got to spend lots of time with my beautiful little grandsons. Jacob is in that MINE stage of the two's and loves to tell you NO all the time. Sometimes even looking at him was not allowed LOL.  A few temper tantrams thrown in as well. Dd was so upset because he was acting this way and I told her don't be it is a very normal stage for two year olds he will out grow it someday.  Grayson is almost 9 months old and simply the happiest baby I have seen in a while. He is so even tempered and laughs and smiles most of the time.  Time always seems to short when we are there so we try to enjoy every minute we get to spend with Dd and those little boys.

Got home last night and I am very glad to be back. Love to go but as they say always nice to get back home to your own things and mostly your own bed LOL.

I missed you all. I did lurk on the board some but just didn't have the time to post much. Didn't want to spend much time on the computer but I couldn't not check on you all.

Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend.

HI Gabby

I agree you do forget all those hard times with your kids as they grow up. You survive them and are so happy when they are over. I wish your friend Val good luck with her Dd a hard stage to go though.

Love ya

Wow Mare, you got to Graceland and nothing happened! Awesome! Sounds like you had a fabulous time. Yes, two year olds can be trying...entering the ego-centric stage but are such fun! the world is their oyster and they want to absorb it all at once. Unfortunately they have not yet learned a total sense of danger or limits which causes the tantrums. Sounds like dh forgets what having a two year old around is like. Its not terrible two's bot terrific two's! Wonder what dh would do if he were here...I have 5 of them in addition to an 8 month old, 2 three year olds, a five year old and a four year old. Dh can volunteer time if he wants:)
