Hi, just wanted to introduce myself- My name is Chris, I'm from MI and CA and now live in Florida. I think this sounds like a group I could relate to! I worked in the schools for many years teaching art and at risk children..                      My husband is semi retired.    Chris

May we call you Rose? don't have a Rose yet. My little dog Duchess is always chasing rabbits or something in her sleep. She's about 20lbs. but she thinks she's a large dog. She chases many things around here in the country exspecially my neighbors cats. She's part sheltie and whatever but she looks just like a fox. We have one in our backyard and once in awhile we'll see it run down the road and think it's Duchess. Pretty scary since my dogs are in a fence (about 1/2 acre) and they're not allowed in the road. Such wonderful companions.

So you do animal portraits? I'd love to get a portrait done of our dogs past and present. Had many we adopted through the years. Some were older so we didn't have them that long but gave them a good life in their senior years. All were very special in their own way.

So you cook, do animal paintings, and worked with special needs children. You're a special lady to take on so many challenges.

Hi Chris and welcome! I'm Red, also from Washington State. Glad you decided to drop in. Some of us have been here on the board for nearly 10 yr., but we always enjoy new ladies joining in!

Your career sounds like it was an interesting one...fulfilling. Bet you didn't have too many boring days, eh? So, are you an artist yourself, or did you teach art history, art therapy, or how did that work?

I have never found my dream job...actually one came very close, but I could not afford to keep it. Ah well....

Again, welcome!

Hello again. I'm cindy. I have yahoo messenger as cinamenii. Or email me at cinamenii@yahoo.com and I'll try to get you into chat if you'd like. However I'm new to computers and sometimes mess it all up so please bear with me. I'm also on facebook. Many of us here are. Another way we keep in touch.

Right now with summer comming around I've got alot to do so I'm not on the computer as much as I'd like to be. I'm in and out. And right now I have to head back out. Trying to get my house ready to paint.
