Ya doesn't sound possible, but it is! This is the hottest day here so far this year and oh how I felt it. I thought before dh got home from work I wouLd get the lawn cut, well I started and then got this stupid heat headache. I did manage to finish but it took me a few times of stopping and cooling off.
Our power went off about 2:30 and did not come on until 11:30 tonight, when we called the hydro company they said would not be on until the earliest 10:00 am tomorrow. So I am glad it is back on earlier.
Dh is on early shift tomorrow, so we will have to get up at 3:00 am, if the heat keeps up for a day or so more then I am sure that they will be laid off.
I had such a great weekend, dh and I went to the mainland and saw Julio Iglesias... we both love his singing. We were 3rd row from the Front in what they called the "golden seats" We could have had the second row but the guy told us it is too low and so you are looking up and if anyone gets up to dance you see nothing. The show was amazing... that man may be getting older but he has not aged in his voice. I do not know why but when he sings I get tears in my eyes, this is usually when he sings in Spanish and I have no idea what he is singing but it does something to me..big time!
The hotel we stayed at exceeded our expectations and it was a fair bit less than what we ar used to paying,, so that was a big bonus. Dh wanted to take me to the casino after the show but I was just so happy with the time I had I said lets just go for a bit of a drive and then back to the hotel to look at the city lights... that is something that I find beautiful all the lights at night.
Anyhow we had a fantastic time. And dh says he thinks we should take time like that more often for the 2 of us. I of course have to agree with that.
Have a good week everyone!
hUGS,

Lor.....that Al is a pretty special guy.....I believe I would keep him...LOL!!!
Hi Lor
Wow that is a temp change. 93 is very hot for you there. I hope it cools down to a more normal temp soon.
I am just so happy you got to see Julio concert. A dream come true for you. I love to hear him sing such a beautiful voice. Sounds like the evening was just perfect for you.
Some time for just the two of you is something you need to do more often. We get so wrapped up with our children lives and sometimes just daily living we often forget to take time to spend with our spouse.
Love
Lor, Your time in Vancouver sounds so special.
Ya he is a keeper... most of the time anyhow...LOL
You know Mare you are so right.. and
I think this is a little sample of empty nest... and if so I might just like it
Ya I agree, we sure do need to do that.
We are getting our Rv
Lucky you I like his singing to and warm weather to top it all off. Hopefully some of the weather will head this way.
So glad you and you Dh had some time together. I hope you can do more of it. It's something my Dh and I never get to do because of his job. But something we'll hope to do when he retires.
Sounds like the U.P....I lived in Marquette, Mi not so long ago with the most extreme winters!.. The concert sounds wonderful. I have one of his cds in the car. He can melt butter with that voice. :)
