Unfortunately, not by plane.  The planes in the U.K. are still all grounded.  He's on a bus right now to Dover, England.  There they'll board a ferry to France.  I think it's about a five hour trip over.  Hopefully they'll find a place to sleep tonight as they don't pick up their rental car until tomorrow morning.  They then will drive the 900 some miles through France (through Paris) towards Spain.  They have a flight scheduled from Madrid to Miami on Wednesday.  Hopefully all of the plans fall together and he's able to get home.

Hi Kaci

Sounds like a long trip to get to Madrid I sure hope all goes well so they can make this flight and get home safely. What a mess this valcano has made for those having to fly from England and most of Europe.

Keep us

Glad he is home safe and sound. What a wonderful opportunity to see more of Europe. Driving across all that countryside. But I suppose if you are anxious to get home it would not be as enjoyable.
