Hcg, curiousity question????????

Just sitting here thinking since I have nothing better to do...When I went for my 1st blood test, July 14, my Hcg level was less than 1. Not 0, but less than 1. That means I had a very small amount of the hormone in my body, right? I'm not on any medication or anything else that would have made that hormone.

Is it possible that I took the test right after I conceived and got pg? Has this happen to anyone and were you pg or not?

Does this make sense? Hope so...

Here are the levels of HcG that are expected to be present in your body at different times during pregnancy, good luck

from conception from LMP (mIU/ML or IU/L)

7 days 3 weeks 0 to 5

14 days 28 days 3 to 426

21 days 35 days 18 to 7,340

28 days 42 days 1080 to 56,500

35 - 42 days 49 - 56 days 7,650 to 229,000

43 - 64 days 57 - 78 days 25,700 to 288,000

57 - 78 days 79 - 100 days 13,300 to 253,000

17 - 24 weeks 2nd trimester 4060 to 65,400

25 wks to term 3rd trimester 3640 to 117,000

After several days postpartum nonpregnant levels (<5)"

I hope this is what you were looking for, oh yeah btw how many DPO did you take the blood test?

That's the thing, I don't know when I O'd. I went off the pill in June and at the time, didn't know what I know now. We were just giving it all we got!!

I was having really bad cramps/ab pain around the 9th. At first, I thought maybe it was from implantation. Wishful thinking. Then, after I got my test results back on the 14th, I thought maybe they were O pains.

I'll know for sure what's going on in the morning. I'll have my blood results back than.

I'm asking that since there was a small amount of Hcg in my blood, that maybe I caught the pg from the very beginning. If I was not pg, then wouldn't my level be a complete 0 since I'm not taking anything that would have put the hormone in my body.

This is completely grasping in thin air here, but I'm just curious. Don't see how there could even be small traces of Hcg in my blood if something wasn't going on.

From what I understand at my last dr visit, it is possible to register small amounts of HCG around ovulation time. I bet you're hoping for a more definitive answer, but rest assured, time will tell either way. If you go back to have it checked again, the levels should rise considerably if you are indeed pregnant. Have you tried a home test since then?
