Hi ladies,

Well, here it goes, I will attempt to explain. About 2 weeks ago I started feeling sick all day long. No matter what I did I felt nauseaous. I took a particular brand of pregnancy test a week later, it was positive and that same brand has been positive ever since. I went to the doctor before I even missed my period because I just felt pregnant. They gave me a urine test and a blood test, both negative. Meanwhile, thought ok I must be feeling sick for other reasons. Again took my home pregnancy test, following instructions to the tee and it is still positive. I get 2 pink lines every time. Well, now my period just started and just yesterday took one and positive and it started last night and I took one this morning and still positive. Is it possible to be pregant still, am I miscarrying, etc.?? Is it possible to have my period and still be pregant. This period is not light, it is and feels like my normal period. I am so dissappointed but also confused as to why I am still getting a positive sign. Has this happened to anyone out there? Any advice or encouragement would be so appreciated.

Thanks

I would go to the doctor and demand that they do blood work on you. They might even want to do an ultrasound. Ask them to give you a blood test today. If your blood test comes up + then get them to do another one to see what's happening with your HGC levels. They might want to do an ultrasound as well just make sure it's not ectopic or anything. Something funny is going on and you should demand that they test your blood. That way you'll get a clear picture of what's going on.

Good luck!

The only thing that I can think of that would give a consistant false positive on hpt's is fertility treatments. If you aren't taking fertility treatments, I'd follow through on Julie's advice.

Good luck,
