My name is Kerri and I actually am a Parent Educator and work with Teen Moms/1st time Moms. The 1st thing I would tell you is to talk with your Dr. It sounds like you want to learn about pregnancy so I assume you want to keep the Baby right?? You will want to take prenatal vitamins, either the Dr can write a prescription for it or you can buy them at Wal Mart, pharmacy's, etc. Have you talked to a parent, relative or friend?? I dont know your situation (how much support you have, etc)but if you need to talk or have ?'s, please let me know. Being a young Mom can be a lot of work, but it can work. There are programs out there that can help. If you call your local Health Department or clinic, etc they can let you know what type of programs they offer. Many of them are confidential, in case you are not ready to tell a parent, etc. But I would encourage you to talk to someone, especially your Dr. You can email me at KerriEngels@hotmail.com, I may have a 1-800 # here at work, i will look for it, but in the meantime - take care of yourself- no drugs, alcohol, etc ( not good for the Baby!!) and try and get in touch with you local health Dept.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Kerri
See if you have a Birthright near you (1-800-550-4900). They are a confidential, non-judgemental service that offers FREE pregnancy testing.
