Hey all! I'm in the midst of waiting it out to see if I am pregnant. Meanwhile, my hubby and I JUST joined a gym and started a program with a personal trainer. Should I nix the weights and stick to just walking until I know? I don't want to do anything that might hurt a baby......if there's one. I forgot to tell my doctor about this and just wondered what others were told. One of my gfs told me that if you've BEEN working out, that it's usually ok, but that most doctors tell you to not START a strenuous routing when you're pg........and we JUST started this last Thursday. Thanks! : Missy

I am a fitness instructor and i think it would be okay for you to go ahead and do weights, just dont overdo it..I would talk to your personal trainer and tell her your situation and also inform your doctor next time you see him..Usually it is okay to keep working out regularly at a moderate level if you have been already..No heavy weights and not alot of ab workouts.. It is good to keep in shape while pregnant and easier during labor and better for recovery..Goodluck and let us know if you are pregnant..

Hey Cara!

I guess I better check with my doctor. I know it's good to workout during a pregnancy, but this is a BRAND new thing with me. I've worked out in the past, but have been slacking off this year and never done anything THIS strenuous. So, I wasn't sure if I should be starting a new workout program when I haven't been working out like I should. Both of my sisters continued working out right up to the end! This is a HUGE change from what I was doing......nothing! haha Anyway, I will check with my doctor because I just started this program with my personal trainer and I am LOVING IT. I just don't want to over-do or do something that might hurt a potential baby. Thanks!!! :) Missy

Hi-it's me again. I know this is off the topic but I needed advice. I took a HPT that I ordered that detects an HCG level of only 15. I got a very faint line in the test window but the problem is it was a horizontal line as opposed to a vertical like the control window and like the picture in the instructions. What should I think? Hey Nikki!

Hmmmm the line was going the opposite way, huh? Does your test have a phone # to call and talk to whoever makes that test???? I don't know whether that's just a defective test or a positive! If you have a phone # to call, I'd do that first. Then, I'd do another test and see what happens!!! What kind of test was this? I'm hoping the best for ya! Thanks for the email.....I'll do that, too.
