Messed up hormones or PG?

I'm hoping someone can tell me whether I should just test or stop obsessing over nothing. Okay, here goes. My last normal AF was July 5, but I had another strange one 26 days later, pretty much on time. But I'm *very* regular. I have never in my life had an AF that lasted less than 6 days, with the first 3 days being pretty heavy, and the last 3 being light or very light. This last AF lasted about 4 days, with only one day of moderate bleeding and 3 days of spotting. Anyway, definitely not what I'm used to, but probably way too much to be implantation bleeding. The thing is, even with this really light AF, I had more intense PMS than normal: really sore bb's, nausea and bloating so bad that my "fat clothes" felt tight! So, it really threw me off when it was so light. The sore bb's and some of the bloating subsided after the supposed AF, but the nausea and indigestion have stuck around, along with headaches almost everyday. With all of this, I've been doing some research online, and I found that there are quite a few women who've had what seems to be a normal period and then find out they're pregnant.

DH and I are using NFP to avoid pregnancy, but I only chart CM, not BBT. So, it's always possible I could be pg, (and dh and I would probably be extremely happy if I was) even though we're trying to avoid. I just haven't been feeling like myself. I did have the usual lubricative CM this past week, so I assumed I was ovulating. But last night I had some pretty uncomfortable AF-like cramps, nothing like I normally get when I ovulate. So, I'm thinking that either my hormones are just a little messed up right now (resulting in a really light AF and yucky symptoms) or I'm pregnant.

Aghhh, I'm driving myself insane! Maybe this is just me, subconsciously wishing I'm pg!!! Thanks for reading my long-winded post. I'm just looking for any opinions. I'd feel like such an idiot if I took a hpt and it was negative. I mean, really, I did technically have a period 2 weeks ago!

Thanks again!

Hi Lesley, If you read my post it sounds almost the same as yours! I had a period on July 5th which was pretty normal then had a very short light one on August 2nd. My pms symptoms for the last one was doubled too and although some of it went away after my period, the bloating and nausea stayed (although the nausea isn't as bad today thank god!) I'm emotional and all the other things. I've been feeling little cramps in my belly and back for a good week now but last night I had really uncomfortable cramps there (kinda like I had to go to the bathroom but I didn't!) I took an HPT last saturday and it was negative. Good luck and keep us posted!

Jenni, I can't believe I missed your other post! I've been looking around to see if anyone had a similar experience. It certainly sounds like we've been dealing with the same thing. In fact, the cramps that you describe, kind of like having to go to the bathroom but can't - that's exactly how I was feeling last night too! For awhile I thought I might have eaten something bad, but after taking Tylenol, I felt a little better. That usually doesn't happen with food poisoning! Well, I think I'm going to test today. I'll keep you posted when I do!

Thanks!

Hey! It's ok I somehow lost all the symptoms I had this morning when I woke up lol So I highly doubt I am either! But you never know for you, I mean you're still not late for your period and from what I've been reading on here hpt's are really picky lol So hang in there and keep us posted!
