Desperate... Help!

Okay... I've decided I'm pregnant. No more diddling around with "But the line is really really faint".

I don't know what to do. I'm only just married, my husband is unemployed, we *Just* moved to Florida. We don't have any insurance, and I work under the table as a nanny. My husband and I haven't really even discussed kids... To be honest, I don't think he even ever wants kids! My family, which disapproved of my marriage, will absolutely disapprove of us starting our family so soon.

I used to say I was pro-choice. I no longer feel that way. The idea of abortion, for me, for my child, is horrendous. For anyone else, I dont' think I'd care one way or another.... But this... This is my child, and I want it, as bad of a time as this is. But I know my husband... his ex wife had two abortions. His sister had two. His old girlfriend had two. He doesn't have any problem witht hem, and I'm desperately afraid that he'll want me to have one... And I dont' think i could take it... And my mother, she for sure will tell me I'd better have one.

How could this happen? I'm ON THE PILL. I've been taking it religiously ( after a few almosts ). What do I do? Is there low cost help for pregnant women? Anyone going through with a pregnancy no one else wants?

I dont know much about Florida...I'm from Michigan, I know there are plenty of programs around here for such situatiions, and i'm sure there is there in Florida. I would reccomend going to a Planned Parenthood. They will give you care, and help you. They will let you know what programs there are out there available to you. Go to http://www.plannedparenthood.org and you will find some information there, and it will help you locate one in your area too if you don't know where one is. I hope things get better for you. Don't let anyone talk you into an abortion. It will haunt you because you don't want it, so don't do it for someone else. If you need more help, just let us know. If you would like you can write to my email emilysgk@hotmail.com

Best Wishes,

Sarah, there are many programs available to you in Florida that will council you in your situation and support you no matter what your decision is. I don't know if you practice or favor a particular religion but many religions have programs available. I know for fact that Catholic Charities does, and I don't think it is restricted to Catholics only. Also in my city the YMCA is very involved with many other agencies in the community and they may be able to refer you to one. Planned parenthood is an excellent choice as well. They will do a blood test and go from there. You have many choices and the choice is ONLY yours. Good Luck!
