hi
I just have two small questions about being pregnant... The first is how much weight can you expect to put on in the first three months???
Also... I have read stories of people not knowing they are pregnant for the first couple of months. Are these JUST stories or does it actually happen... has anyone had it happen to them or someone that they know???

I'm 4 months (16 weeks) along with my first ... so I hope I can help!
In my first 3 months I put on about 4 lbs ... and now that I'm in my second trimester, I've gained about 6 so far. I believe that the average weight gain in the first 3 months is around 4-8 lbs ... then normally women put on quite a bit at the beginning of the 2nd trimester. Some women don't put on anything at all or even lose weight and some women gain 15 lbs in the first!
I could see how a woman might not know she's pregnant ... if she doesn't have a regular menstrual cycle anyway, and if she doesn't really have any nausea .. she may not know! With me though, I just KNEW when I was 5 weeks along ... I knew exactly what the home preg. test was going to say. I've never been pregnant before, and my hubby and I weren't even trying ... but with a lot of women, you just simply know! Your body is just a little "off" -- and your boobs may feel tender, as if they're retaining fluid, and you may feel a pressure on your bladder, making you have to go all the time (I felt like I had a bladder infection). I was also sweating a lot and was quite hungry - felt sick if I didn't eat.
Hope this helps!

It is true that you may not know you are PG for a while. I have a really good friend that just had a Boy a few months ago. She did not have any signs (or refused to see them), still had her af for 6 months. She had no clue. the gurgle in her stomach she thought was just gas HAHA. Little did she know. It was not until her yearly that she found out. How wierd is that. Thank God she was a healthy person. Not a smoker or a drinker. Any how I wittnessed the entire thing a we hang out almost daily. hope that helps
